From the book of Ezra chapter 6, the governor of the province Beyond the River, enforced a decree by a new order from Darius the King that the temple be completed.
"The gospel church, that spiritual temple, is long in the building, but it will be finished at last, when the mystical body is completed. Every believer is a living temple, building up himself in his most holy faith: much opposition is given to this work by Satan and our own corruptions. We trifle, and proceed in it with many stops and pauses; but He that has begun the good work will see it performed."

Yes! Worship is more like prayer (personal with God) than like singing (singing for fun with friends). In sunday school I'm often reminding the 4-5 yr' olds not to talk and interupt while we are prayimg and talking to God and then I am taken back when in the adult church the grown ups are chit- chatting all through worship.( I can't say I'm totally not guilty of this)
